Exploring identity through presence, media, and self-perception.

Videography

In collaboration with the Cedar Street Art Collective, Sometimes Art House presents Highly Reflective. The gallery will showcase work by local, female and lgbtq+ identifying artists that explore how media influences identity construction. Audiences are encouraged to document their experience during the show and participate at the various selfie stations throughout the gallery. Musical performances begin at 6:30pm and donations to Sometimes Art House will be collected at the door with available merch/prints for sale. ROLES

Multimedia Work
Installation Artist

OVERVIEW

Collaborative exhibition by Sometimes Art House examining how media shapes identity. My contribution combined video, photography, and graphic design to explore themes of self-perception within a shared gallery space.

APPROACH

Installation videos, printed photography and design work functioned independently and as part of a larger exhibition. I also produced a promotional video for the event.

OUTCOME

The work contributed to a multi-artist exhibition that encouraged reflection on identity and media presence, situating personal work within a broader cultural context.

Graphic Design

In Spanish, the phrase in this design means “Why is it so hard to forget?”, with the word “easy” reflected in the water. There is an overlap of letters between these two words- difícil (hard) and fácil (easy). It meditates on the difficulty of unlearning emotional abuse from a past relationship, while being saddened by the ease with which good memories from better romantic relationships can be easily forgotten over the years. Why is it so hard to remind ourselves we are worth love, especially during periods of depression?
